Roger L. Daugherty

Roger L. Daugherty, 70 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on May 31, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 9, 1945, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a son of the late Everett and Opal Thompson Daugherty. Roger was a salesman for eighteen years at Capitol Beverage and also worked for Storks Bakery for twenty nine years. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sherrell Carpenter Daugherty; two daughters, Michelle (Mark) Tucker of Wirt County, W.Va. and Stacy (Brent) States of Rockport, W.Va.; one son, Lynn Daugherty of Parkersburg; one sister, Sharon (Gary) Hall of Weston, W.Va.; one brother, Larry (Joyce) Daugherty of Monroe, NC; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael; and brother, Donald. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. South Parkersburg with Pastor Stephen States officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. Wednesday at the Funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to family or funeral expenses.
