Lawrence S. “June” Wilson Jr., 72, of Walker, WV, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born December 22, 1945, in Parkersburg, the son of the late Lawrence S. Wilson Sr. and Erma Linger Wilson. June was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and he adored children. June was a veteran of the U.S. Army Security Agency. He had previously worked for Universal Glass with over 19 years of service and worked for J.W. Machine Inc. He was a Boy Scout Master for 17 years, a member of the V.F.W Post 1212, American Legion Post 15, and a charter member of the Deerwalk Volunteer Fire Department. June was an excellent craftsman and fabricator. He was very active in the community where he helped his family and friends. June is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vicky Perdue Wilson; two children, Tracy Stillson (John) of Cincinnati, OH and Nick Wilson (Criss) of Walker; sister in-law, Heather Stanley (Rob); six grandchildren, Paula Beth Wilson, Cory Garbe, Alex Wilson, Dani Wilson, Johnny Stillson and Turà Stillson; three great-grandchildren, Madi, Leesie and Christopher; and four siblings. In addition to his parents, June was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Wilson, and five siblings. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Deerwalk Volunteer Fire Department with Pastor Doug Guinn officiating. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
