John E. Townsend

John Townsend Jr., 69 of Davisville, W.Va. passed away August 12, 2013 at Eagle Pointe.He was born August 14, 1943 in Wood County, W.Va. a son of Lula Brooks Townsend of Davisville and the late John E. Townsend.He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a self-employed construction worker. He enjoyed Saturday night gatherings at his home. He loved gardening, cooking and especially baking.John is survived by his wife, Linda Townsend; daughter, Angie Smith (Steve); step-daughter, Nicole Dent; son, Anthony “Jay” Townsend; and step-son, Brian Nichols all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three sisters; three brothers; and four grandchildren, Alicia Smith, Kyle Dent, Stephanie Smith and Karlee Dent.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Don Yeager officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
