Donald Eugene Rhyne

Donald Eugene Rhyne, 73, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Parkersburg, on December 3, 1943, one of seven children of the late Vernn William Rhyne and Elizabeth (Sally) Lucille Rhyne Givens. Don served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. He retired from Consolidated Freightway Corporation. He enjoyed his retirement and enjoyed watching his niece and nephews play. Don is survived by his brothers, Gerald Rhyne, Thomas (Mike) Rhyne; sisters, Susan Graham and Loretta Gregg; one son, Bobby; two daughters, Christa and Donetta and grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by Duane and Larry Rhyne. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Daniel Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Core Road Cemetery with full military rites at the funeral home. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
