Dan Stephens, 69, of Parkersburg passed away February 18, 2025 at WVU Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1955 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Carl M. and E. Jean Miller Stephens.
He was a 1973 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He formerly worked at Montgomery Wards and was a car salesman at Astorg Motors for many years. Dan enjoyed fishing and hunting, talking about his adventures, and was one who did not know a stranger.
Dan is survived by his wife, Linda Buskirk Stephens; two step-daughters, Tanya Null of Virginia Beach, VA and Heather Stephens of Parkersburg; two step-sons, William Michael Fisher (and family) of FL and Shane Ricker (Tesia) of Pickerington, OH; foster son, Bill Breeding (Jenny) of CA; one sister, Linda Harris (Ed) of Parkersburg; a sister-in-law, Jane Stephens; grandchildren, Abigail Badgett, Gabrelle Badgett, Hunter Null, Chase Null, Brett Null, Haven Kulisz, Liam Breeding, and Ian and Emma Ricker; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Argast (Patrik), Lesley Cline, Joseph Harris (Carrie), and Chase Stephens (Polly), and Mikos Henthorn; great-nieces and nephews, Luca and Adrien Argast, Lauren Cline, Carlen Joseph, Benson Kai, Luca and Adrien Argast, and Declan James Harris, and Jessica and Jack Stephens; and a very special friend, Paul Astorg.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Dave Stephens; an infant brother, Ronald Stephens, and a step-son-in-law, Nick Null.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 6 – 8 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St. South Parkersburg, with a time of sharing memories starting at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dan’s honor to the American Kidney Fund at give.kidneyfund.org or mailing it to 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, has been entrusted with Dan’s final wishes and is honored to serve his family.
