Betty Jean Slack

Betty Jean Slack, 81, of Vienna, W.Va. passed away March 10, 2012 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She was born May 23, 1931, at Eatons, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles R. and Elsie Jenkins Farnsworth. Betty was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and sewing and was a Methodist by faith. She is survived by her husband, Edward Slack of Vienna, W.Va.; two sons, Robert Michael Evans of Parkersburg, W.Va. and William Joseph Evans of Ravenswood, W.Va.; one sister, Hilda Nulter of Vienna, W.Va.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her dog Missy. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Evans; and 10 brothers and sisters. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Jim Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Walker, W.Va. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
