Wilma E. “Pearl” McCauley, 88,of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away Saturday Jan. 4, 2014 at her residence.She was born Sept. 5, 1925 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Archie and Wilma Deem Poling.Wilma was a homemaker, and formerly worked at the American Viscose Company.She retired as site manager at Mineral Wells for the Wood County Senior Citizens Association after several years of service. Wilma was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a member of the First Sams Creek Baptist Church.She is survived by one daughter, Barb Fluharty (Roger) of Mineral Wells, W.Va. one son, Howard (Pat) McCauley (Karen) also of Mineral Wells; four grandchildren, Mike McCauley Jr., Patrick McCauley Jr., Diana Smith, and Jillian Murphy; four step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Glenna Poling and Beulah Radcliff both of Mineral Wells, W.Va.In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Creed C. McCauley in 2006; one daughter, Wilma Jean McCauley; and a son, Mike McCauley.Funeral services for Wilma will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 8, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will be in Big Tygart Cemetery in Mineral Wells, W.Va.The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to her caregivers through the years; Dee Cross, June Smith, and Anika Wigal.
