William Forrest Morris, 80, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on July 9, 2013 at The Willows Center.He was born September 28, 1932, in Rockport, W.Va., a son of the late Arthur R. and Lena Hazel White Morris.William was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked at several grocery stores and markets and retired from Ralph's Market.He was an avid outdoorsman and attended Christ Mission Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frances Knight Morris; one son, Tony Morris and his wife, Lisa of Fairmont, W.Va.; two sisters, Susie Tucker and Helen Trippet, both of Parkersburg; two brothers, Ralph Morris of Belleville, W.Va. and Paul Morris of Parkersburg; three grandchildren, Jordan Neidig, Courtney Marinho and Laura Morris; and one great-grandson, Moses David Marinho.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Neidig; four sisters; and two brothers.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with full military rites by American Legion Post 15, with Pastor Mark Watkins officiating.Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
