William Russell Martin, 80, of Washington, W.Va., passed away April 27, 2013 at the Arbors of Marietta.He was born May 9, 1932, in Wood County, W.Va., a son of the late Edward Clark and Glenna Anderson Martin.Russell was a member of The Word of God Ministries Church in Parkersburg and was a retired bricklayer.He is survived by daughters, Amy Semour and Debbie (Bruce) Hutson; sons, David (Robin) Martin and William (Janet) Martin; brother, Lyle Martin; grandchildren, Jason, Brian, Aric, Marissa, Casey, Mercedes, Rusty, Dusty, Felicia, Tonia, Amy, Misty, Brandy, Adam, Kristina, Angela and Amanda; and 20 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gum Martin; one son, Jerry Alan Martin; five brothers, Eddie, Robert, Junior, Chuck and James Martin; and five sisters, Pauline and Kathleen Martin, Goldie Pryor, Garnet Greenburg and Helen Smith.A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at The Word of God Ministries Church on West Virginia 47, Parkersburg, W.Va., with Pastor Lynn Roush officiating.
