William C. Dearien

William C. Dearien, 82, of Vienna, WV passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 at his residence. He was born April 16, 1939 in Charleston, WV, a son of the late John and Elaine Headley Dearien. Before retirement, William was Executive Director for SW Resources and was WV State Director of Rehabilitation. He then owned five Subway Restaurants until retirement in 2007. He was awarded Outstanding Young Man of America, was former President of WVARF and was a member of the Civitan and Rotary Clubs. He is survived by his wife, Sidney Scully Dearien; his daughter, Kelle Michael Cosner (William); his son, James Clayton Dearien; and grandchildren, Tyler C. Dearien, Abbi M. Dearien and Ryan D, Cosner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, John Pryce Dearien. Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, January 6, 2022 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Vienna with Father Michael Scully officiating.
