William Robert Bumgarner

William R. Bumgarner, 84, formerly of Slate, W.Va., passed away on June 9, 2011 at Eagle Pointe in Parkersburg, W.Va.He was born February 4, 1927, in Palestine, W.Va., a son of the late William and Stella Sims Bumgarner.William was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.He was retired from Murray Sheet Metal as a roofer.He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.He was a member of the Broadway Church of Nazarene.He is survived by his wife Eleanor Wallbrown Bumgarner of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son, Timothy J. Osborne of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and one brother, Scott Bumgarner of East Liverpool, Ohio.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Guy, Eanes, Woodrow, Wallace and Paul Bumgarner.A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family.Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, Parkersburg, W.Va. will be assisting the family.
