William Wesley Battin III 59. Of Vienna, W.Va. passed away March 11, 2013 at his residence.William was the son of Dorothy L. Mayo Battin of Vienna and the late William Wesley Battin. He was born December 2,1953 in Wood County, W.Va.William was a 1973 graduate of Parkersburg High School and had two years of college. He worked as a press operator at the O'Ames plant and also as a receptionist at the Vienna Police Dept. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, crafts and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Loretta (Kay) Battin; one son, Andrew J. Battin and wife, Valerie Renee Craig-Battin of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one sister, Pamela K.Moore and husband, Dan of Veto, Ohio; two grandchildren, Vegas Renee Craig and Zane Noah Battin both of Parkersburg,W.Va.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.In addition to his father, William was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wes and Gladys Battin; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Virginia Mayo; and a brother, John Edward Battin.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M.Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Vienna,with Father John Gallagher officiating.
