Wendell Junior Ayers

Wendell Junior Ayers, 55, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on June 21, 2011 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.He was born August 6, 1955, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Wendell Kerr and Emma Sams Ayers.Wendell was a graduate of Parkersburg High School.He was employed at Parkersburg Bedding and was formerly employed at O'Ames, Johns-Manville, Walker of Parkersburg and Mountaineer Family Restaurant.He enjoyed bowling and participated in Leagues.He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shelia Flinn Ayers; one son, Nathan Ayers, of the home; two sisters, Naomi Houdyshell (Joe) of Parkersburg and Debra Kerr of Rockport, W.Va.; one brother, Kenneth Kerr (Kim) of Parkersburg; one sister-in-law, Donna Ayers of Walker, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Ayers.Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. will be assisting the family with arrangements.
