Vonda Lucille Olsen

Vonda L. Olsen, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on June 15, 2014 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born June 20, 1926, in Belpre, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Stella G. Province Shepherd.Vonda was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.She is survived by her husband, Walter R. Olsen; one daughter, Julie Allender and her fiancé, Rick of Parkersburg; one grandson, Gregory S. Allender of Parkersburg; four sisters, Geraldine Branch, Betty Stringer and Gloria Thomas, all of Parkersburg and Norma Dominic of Loraine, Ohio; three brothers, Charles Shepherd Jr. and Franklin D. Shepherd, both of Parkersburg and Stanley Shepherd of Florida.Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Jerry Harmon officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen South Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3901 Briscoe Run Rd, #10, Parkersburg, WV26104.
