Virginia Lee Peters

Virginia L. Peters, 90 of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away September 20, 2013 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born August 23, 1923 in Williamstown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Watson and Ardelia Ritchie Bayles. Virginia was a homemaker and loved her family and her animals.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd E. Peters; one son, Harold Peters; a granddaughter; six brothers; and four sisters.Virginia is survived by her six children, Freda Hostottle of Vienna, W.Va., Norma Downs (Warren) of Williamstown, W.Va., Dale Peters (Lynne), Robert Peters (Sheila), Delores Peters all of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Janice Carpenter (Charles) of Vilonia, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, Parkersburg,W.Va. with grandson Bill Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Waverly, W.Va. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.
