Virginia C. Beeson

Virginia C. Beeson, 96, of the Marietta Center, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.She was born May 25, 1917, in Weston, W.Va., a daughter of the late Edward T. W. Stewart and Edith Corda Hays Stewart.She formerly worked at Moby's and Fashion Mart. She was a former member of the Rockport Farm Woman's Club. She enjoyed cooking and feeding her family and friends. She was a member of the Prayer Chapel Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher and Bible School Teacher.She is survived by one daughter, Virginia L. Reesman (Charles) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; two sons, Robert T. Beeson (Anna) of Elizabeth, W.Va. and Edward W. Beeson of Lubeck, W.Va.; one brother, Reed T. Stewart (Shirley) of Weston, W.Va.; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one nephew; and two nieces.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Beeson; and one brother, Forrest D. Stewart.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Rod Blanchard officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Marietta Center Staff and the ER Staff at Marietta Memorial for the wonderful care given to our mother and to our family.
