Virgil Francis Johnson

Virgil Francis Johnson Sr, 88, of Vienna, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born January 29, 1932, in Akron, OH, a son of the late Raymond E. and Mary Shuller Johnson. Virgil is retired from Century Aluminum and was a U.S. Airforce Veteran and Staff Sargent. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. Johnson; two daughters, Tina DeRito (Jeff) and Jamie Burgess both of Ravenswood, WV; step-daughter, Susan Ferguson (Michael) of Belleville, WV; two sons, Scott Johnson (Deana) and Virgil F. Johnson Jr. (Linda) all of Ravenswood; one sister, Anna Allison of Akron, OH; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his loving cat, Julius. In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by two sons, John and Raymond Johnson; four brothers and two sisters. A graveside service will be held at 4 pm Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Ravenswood Cemetery. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna is assisting the family with arrangements.
