Violet Mae Polascak

Violet Mae Polascak, 88 of Williamstown, W.Va. passed away August 10, 2014 at Eagle Pointe in Auguste's Cottage Memory Care Center.She was born October 17, 1925 in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Harry and Nora Longwell Morris. She was the cafeteria manager for several years at the Greenmont Elementary School and was an active member of Jehovah's Witnesses in Parkersburg. Violet is survived by three daughters, Sharon Lockney (Gary) of Mineral Wells, W.Va., Patsy Huggins (David) of Williamstown, W.Va., and Cathy Sweeney of Boaz; three sisters, Ava Ledsome, Edith Starkey, and Donna Heath; four grandchildren, Rebecca Marshall (Rick), Gary Lockney (Neisha), John Huggins, and Matthew Sweeney; and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Polascak, and four brothers.Family graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Chris Wilson officiating.The family wishes to offer a special thank you to Eagle Pointe's Auguste's Cottage Memory Care Center for the loving care that they bestowed on Violet. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Parkersburg in her memory.
