Tommy Ray Overby, 25, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away on Feb. 17, 2012 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born Jan. 27, 1987 in Parkersburg, a son of Brenda Miller of Parkersburg and the late Alvin Lynn Overby.Tommy was a gentle spirit and lived his life to the fullest leaving behind many friends and relatives who will miss him dearly. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his friends.He is survived by his son, Jole Olin Overby, who was his pride and joy; his mother and stepfather, Brenda and Jason Miller; his stepfather, Don Jones, with whom he resided and who was very special to him; his step-uncle, Danny Jones; his sister, Rebecca Overby and her fiancé, William Logston; his two nephews, Devin Overby and Talvin Logston; his brother, Wesley Overby; his sisters, Trish Batten, Samantha Young, Alica Overby and Misty Bailey; his grandmother, Stella Hall; aunts, Donna Roub and Linda (David) Batten; uncle, David (Vicky) Hall; and cousins, Adam Roub, Joe Hall, Josh Hall, Shandra McKinney, Justin Batten, and Wayne Batten.He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn Overby; and his grandfather, Darrell Hall.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Danny McVey officiating. Burial will be at the Bailey Cemetery in Calhoun County, W.Va. at a later date. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
