Thomas Arthur Reed 74 of Belpre, Ohio passed away at his residence Wednesday Jan. 6, 2021. He was born December 3, 1946 in Parkersburg, WV a son of the late Arthur M. and Dorothy E. Tibbs Reed. Tom attended Wood County Schools until 1961 when his family moved to Ohio. He went to Belpre schools and graduated from Belpre High School in 1965. Shortly after graduation he was drafted into the U.S. Army and did a tour in Vietnam. Tom loved riding motorcycles and enjoyed the nomadic life style of traveling through out the United States. He was a member of Millwright Local Union 1755 and was employed at various Dams, Paper mills, and power plants in the eastern United States and Puerto Rico. Tom is survived by his loving and devoted wife Susan Hammett Reed, a daughter Tammy Reed of Vienna, 2 sons, Thomas Arthur Reed II of St. Marys, WV., and Jesse Reed of Belpre. 2 step-daughters, Hannah Yates of Orlando, Fla. And Abigale Yates of Tampa, Fla. 2 step-sons, Michael Bell of Ohio and Brian Bell of Harrisville,WV. 1 brother, Michael Reed of Belpre and 2 brothers by another mother, Bill Hawkins of Williamstown and Mark Allman of Davisville. 5 grandchildren Waylon Kennedy, Wyatt Kennedy, Carlee Bell, Piper Talbott, and Laina Reed. A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held at noon Wednesday January 13, 2021 at the Reed-Fairview Cemetery off 339 in Belpre with full military honors. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the cemetery. Dress warm and bring a lawn chair. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home and Crematory Belpre, Ohio is honored to serve the Reed family.
