Sylvia L. Deem, 85 of Vienna, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born August 26, 1927 in Wirt County, a daughter of the late Ward and Linnia Price Dye.Sylvia was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist church in Vienna. She is survived by her husband, Norvil Deem whom she married August of 1980; four sons, James Richards (Gina) and Carey Richards all of Vienna, W.Va., Craig Richards (Julia) of Concord, N.C. and Brian Richards (Billie) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two step-daughters, Linda R. Walker (Mark) of Plane, Texas and Kimberly Brundige (Ed) of Commerce, Georgia; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Carl Dye (Betty) of Pettyville, W.Va. and Basil Dye (Roberta) of Palestine, W.Va.; one sister, Mary Faust of Johnstown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers; Clifford, Award, Melvin and Doral Dye; and one sister, Thelma.Funeral services for Sylvia will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va., with Pastor Jim Yoak officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery in Roane County, W.Va. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
