Stephen Ellsworth Nourse

Stephen Ellsworth Nourse, 75, of Washington, W.Va., passed away on January 2, 2014, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born October 10, 1938, in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of the late Morton E. and Helen M. McAlieer Nourse.Stephen was a graduate of Needham High School in Massachusetts with the class of 1956 and the University of Maine and The Pennsylvania State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed writing, was interested in environmental and social justice issues and his dogs.He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara E. Waterman Nourse; one daughter, Heather Anne Amoling (Jonathan) of Manomet, Mass.; and one grandson, West Amoling.A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at the First Unitarian Church, 232 Third St., Marietta, Ohio.The family wishes to thank the staff of House Calls Hospice.
