Stephen Lawrence Bonson

On November 27, 2011, Stephen Lawrence Bonson, 63, lovingly referred to as G-paw and Gramps passed away at his home. He was the son of the late William and Charlene Bonson of Hesperia, Calif.A beloved father and faithful friend, he was an avid fisherman and loved old westerns and spending time with his family.He is survived by five children, Sherry Bonson, Sheila Bonson, Stephanie Weaver (Brian), Stephen Bonson, and Sharlene Swaim, all of whom reside in the Parkersburg area. He is also survived by Pamela Braden, the mother of his children;Patricia Bonson, his former wife; two brothers, William and Michael Bonson; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Stephen R. Parsons; a son-in-law, Michael Swaim; and a dear cousin, Charles Oliver. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Jim Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Harper Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
