Sharon Lynn Bailes

Sharon Lynn Bailes, 86, formerly of Vienna, passed away February 22, 2025 at Cedar Grove Personal Care Center. She was born June 20, 1938 in Parkersburg, a daughter to the late Willis and Anna Grace Shaffer Buckley.

She graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1956. She retired from the Bureau of Public Debt after 36 years and was a member of Mullen Memorial Baptist Church in Belpre.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Cynthia Runion of Parkersburg and Lisa Stone (Jeffrey) of Belpre; two sisters, Janet Eaton of Parkersburg and Carolyn Broadwater (Ash) of Vienna; two grandchildren, Kristin Meeks (Tim) of Boaz and Erica Ralston (Seth) of Reno, NV; five great-grandchildren, Caroline, Seamus, Finn, Noelle, and Beck; and several nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Bailes; and a brother-in-law, Dale Eaton.

There will be no visitation, her cremains will be inurned at Parkersburg Memorial Gardens on June 20, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in her honor to Belpre Area Ministries, P.O. Box 101, Belpre, OH 45714.
