Sharon Lee Arnold

Sharon L. Arnold, 68, of Parkersburg, W.Va., formerly of Waverly, W.Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 15, 2011 following an unexpected illness.She was born Oct. 6, 1942 in Wood County, W.Va. the daughter of the late Henry D. and Goldie M. Dotson Hornish. She was a 1960 graduate of Parkersburg High School. Sharon was a Tupperware Consultant for more than 15 years earning many gifts and achieving much recognition. She was a member of the W.Va. Dart League, loved attending area music concerts, and loved animals. She attended the Baptist Temple in Parkersburg. She is survived by a daughter, Rhonda M. Rogers (Stephen G. Merrill) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; a son, Ronald L. Gorrell (Susan) of Glen Burning, MD; one brother, Harvey D. Hornish (Diane) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; two granddaughters, Jami L. Gorrell of New Boston, TX, and Kasie Thomas of Glen Burnie, MD. She is also survived by her former husband and father of her children, David L. Gorrell of Tucson, AZ.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell V. Arnold.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Larry Dale and Pastor Thomas McQuain officiating. Graveside services will follow at Shiloh Church in Waverly, W.Va. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
