Scott Edward Fordyce

Scott Edward Fordyce, 43 of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away August 29, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. He was born July 2, 1970 in Wood County, W.Va. a son of the late Vernon O. and Helen L. Vincent Fordyce. He was a volunteer at the Salvation Army and the 19th St. Shelter. He was a member of the Lynn St. Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.He is survived by a son, Scott Dylan Fordyce; a sister, Kim Fordyce (Jim Wade) of Vienna; four brothers, Gary Fordyce of Jackson, S.C., Mark Fordyce (Christy Ryan) of Parkersburg, Randy Fordyce of Pikeville, KY, and Paul Fordyce of Grantsville, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Normus and Faye Vincent and Omer and Opal Fordyce; a sister, Sandra Erb; and several aunts and uncles.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Brian Satterfield officiating. Burial will follow at Slate Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
