Sarah Annette Hanlon-Toth

November 19, 1958 — June 28, 2011

Sarah Annette Hanlon-Toth, 52, waged a courageous battle against cancer, but finally departed at her residence on June 28, 2011, to be with the Lord. She was born on November 19, 1958, in Parkersburg, W.Va., to Robert and Mary Radcliff Mylar. She graduated from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1977, and went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in social work from West Virginia University. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority during her time at WVU. Upon completion of her degree, she became a licensed social worker for Ohio and WV. Her most recent position was with Housecalls Hospice of Parkersburg, W.Va.Sarah loved to participate in Bible studies and was a member of North Parkersburg Baptist Church. She was a very dedicated mother and wife, who blessed many with her sweet and gentle nature. She loved to spend time outdoors working in her yard and home and working out at the YMCA. Most of all, she enjoyed family vacations to Florida, and attending WVU and Steelers football games. Throughout her life, she especially took pride in watching her son and daughter participate in their athletic endeavors. Sarah will be remembered for her endless will to serve others, and also as a relentless fighter as she endured many treatments. Sarah is survived by her mother, Mary Mylar; husband, Jeff Toth; son, Chris Hanlon (Amy); daughter, Lauren Hanlon, step-children, Ben and Kim Toth; and granddaughter, Elliana Hanlon.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday July 1, 2011, at North Parkersburg Baptist Church, 3109 Emerson Ave. Parkersburg, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday also at the church. A luncheon in her honor will follow the service. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. is assisting the Hanlon-Toth family with arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to North Parkersburg Baptist Church Project Hope, Upward Basketball, or the Friendship Kitchen.
