Sandra Cecelia Summers

Sandra C. Davis Summers, 73, of Marietta, OH, passed away peacefully at the Arbors of Marietta, May 13, 2020. She will join her husband and family in heaven. She was born June 20, 1946 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary Mellinger Davis. Sandra worked at Camden Clark and WVUP as a custodian. She loved doing puzzles, camping, crafting, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Sandra was a Baptist by faith. She is survived by four children; Debra Curry (Mark) of Williamstown, Robert Summers (Diana) of St. Mary’s, Melinda Summers of Memphis, TN and Charles Summers of Parkersburg; one sister, Janet (Bill) Bryant of Parkersburg; two brothers, Eugene (Nancy) Davis of Waverly and Robert (Eleanor) Davis of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Mary (Zack) Lowe, Ryan (Kourtnay) Flowers, Bryn Curry, Anthony Summers, Michael (Elizabeth) McPherson, Sandra (Alex) Rothenburger and Darrell (Juliana) Summers; nine great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her spouse, Charles Summers and one brother, Donzel Davis. Special thanks from the family to Arbors of Marietta for 11 years of compassionate care. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. June 20, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Williamstown, with Pastor Tony Foreman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Herndon Cemetery, Wood County. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church. Lambert-Tatman Funeral and Crematory Services of Vienna, WV, is assisting the Summers family with Sandra’s arrangements.
