Sandra K. Simmons

Sandra K. Simmons, 72, of Parkersburg, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1945, in Parkersburg, WV, a daughter of the late Harry Bryan and Rita Bernice Parsons Deems. Sandra retired from DuPont after working in the Butacite Division. She previously worked at south side Kmart. Sandra enjoyed listening to country music, reading and was a fan of Elvis. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Ira) Goldstein of Parkersburg; son, Corey Simmons (Leigh) of Columbus, OH; sister, Darlene Schroeder of Parkersburg; brother, Jim Deems (Jo Ann) of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Jordan Corbitt, Zach Goldstein; great-grandchildren, Charli Corbitt and Kobi Corbitt; brother and sister in-law, John Kirk and Sheila Deems; special cousin, Norma Jean Lemon; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her four brothers, Bob, Harry David, Larry and Rich Deems; and one sister, Joan Rebholz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, south Parkersburg with Pastor Larry Dale officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
