Ruth O. Reynolds

Ruth O. Reynolds, 83, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away Oct. 14, 2011 at her home. She was born May 31, 1928 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Clyde and Myrtle Shriver Affolter. Ruth enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was active in the Wood County Republican Executive Committee and was also a member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ. Surviving are two daughters, Jenny Reynolds and Robin Allen (Glen) both of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three sons, Scott Reynolds (Keith Merchant) of Dayton, Ohio, Kevin Reynolds (Debbie) and Ray Bradley (Kim) all of Parkersburg, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Amanda Perry, Amber Farnsworth, Wendi Caltrider, Jim Reed, Heather Reed, Danielle Bradley, and Joshua Bradley; eight great-grandchildren, Adrian Farnsworth, Olivia McFee, William Daugherty, Sydney Reynolds, Sophia Caltrider, Emma Bradley, and Abigail and Hunter Kuhn; one sister, Grace Ann Beagle of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Dennis Affolter of Rockport, W.Va.; and a special friend, Sharon Steele of Parkersburg, W.Va. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, E.S. “John” Reynolds in 1998; and one brother, Freddie Affolter. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Mr. Andy Robison officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
