Ruth "Lou" Lucille Sandy

Ruth Lucille (Lou) Pringle SandyOn May 26, 2014 our mother peacefully passed away into God's gracious hands. It was through God's grace that our mother had 87 wonderful years to spend with all of her family and friends that she so deeply cared for.Lucille married Ivan D. Sandy on September 3, 1948. They worked at Viscose until they moved to Akron where she worked for Isaly's Dairy Co. In 1973 Lucille and Ivan purchased the Isaly's in Stowe, Oh. In 1978 they moved back to West Virginia where she worked for Harry Thorn until she retired. Lucille was a lifelong member of Big Tygart Baptist Church in Mineral Wells. She is survived by three children, Richard L. Sandy (Jessie) of Pasadena, Calif., Ivan E. Sandy (Jane) of Urbana, Ohio, and Pamela S. Reynolds (Chuck) of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Joseph I. Sandy of Columbus, Ohio, Charles D. Reynolds of Mineral Wells, Katherine E. Sandy of Springfield, Ohio, Samantha R. Reynolds of Mineral Wells, and Yugi Sandy of Pasadena; and four great-grandchildren that she dearly loved, Ashton, Hunter, Lucy and Ashlee.She is preceded in death by her late husband, Ivan D. Sandy; her parents, Ottis R. Pringle and Estle M. Pringle; four brothers, June, Dale, Ben and Jim Pringle; one sister, Mable Davis; and a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Bauhart Sandy.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastors Sean Law and Dobby Thrash officiating. Interment will follow at the Big Tygart Cemetery in Mineral Wells, W.Va. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
