Ronald Leonard Nolan, 75 of Vienna, W.Va. passed away December 23, 2011 at his residence. He was a son of the late Nelson Garrett and Bertha Jane Rose Nolan.Ronald was a retired pipe fitter and a crane operator at the Dravo Corporation. He loved bowling and woodcrafting, riding motorcycles, and spending time with the grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, a member of the Pipefitters Union Local in Marietta, Ohio and a member of the Williamstown Church of Christ. He was also with the Vienna Recreation.He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Frankie Marie Kelley Nolan, one daughter; Deborah Marshall (Jim) of Perkins, Oklahoma; two sons, Tim Nolan (Pam) of Vienna, W.Va., and Jerry Nolan (Shiela) of Roanoke, Virginia; two sisters, Shirley Rotten of Williamstown, W.Va., and Betty Wright of Boaz, W.Va.; six brothers, Denzil and Herbert Ray Nolan both of Williamstown, W.Va., and Junior, Roger, Kenneth, and Robert Nolan all ofMarietta, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, including Melissa Miller who was like a daughter; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Terry Nolan; one brother, Virgil Nolan; and two sisters, Margaret Martin and Iona Virginia Hall; and one great-grandson, Jacob Hart.Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Dr. William Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown, W.Va.
