Ronald Irvin Huffman I, 58, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on January 14, 2014, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.He was born August 24, 1955, in Parkersburg, a son of Jacqueline Lambert Huffman Turner of Washington, W.Va. and the late Charles Huffman Jr.Ron was a graduate of Parkersburg South High School with the class of 1974.He ran track at Edison Jr. High and Parkersburg South and still holds the mile record at Edison. He was a member of South Parkersburg Baptist Church and retired from Corning/Schott Glass.He is survived by his mother, his wife, Sheila Brown Huffman; one daughter, Jennifer Forshey of Parkersburg, W.Va.; two sons, Ronald Huffman II (Christina) of Washington, W.Va. and Jeremy Forshey (Crystal) of Parkersburg; two brothers, Randy Huffman (Cindy) of Boca Raton, Fla. and Rick Huffman (Terri) of Vienna, W.Va.; and nine grandchildren, Kylie, Kayla, Kyler, Ian, Jayden, Devon, Janson, Kay-Lee and Brittany.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one infant son; one niece, Brandy Huffman; and step-father, Darrell Turner.Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Mark Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
