Ronald G. Gilmore, 79, of Washington, W.Va. passed away June 7, 2013 at the Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus in Parkersburg, W.Va.He was born May 24, 1934 in Pennsboro, W.Va., son of the late Grace I. Wilson and Clayton Gayle Gilmore.Ronald attended Mountain State Business College in Parkersburg, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a Management Analyst for the Bureau of Public Debt and the DCSC (Defense Construction Supply Center). He enjoyed watching all sports, was an avid WV University Mountaineer, Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Ron was a loyal member and served as a Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Parkersburg.He is survived by his wife, Edith L. Wyckoff Gilmore, whom he married March 12, 1967; a sister-in-law Pauline and her husband, Cleve Costley; a brother-in-law, Frank Raber; two nieces, Debra and Jennifer Costley; great-niece, Stacy Wymer; three great-nephews, Darin and Ryan Kendall and Garrett Grimes; great-great niece, Alexica Fife; and two great-great nephews, Zachary Costley-Wymer and Anthony Fife.Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with Reverend Rich McClure and Dr. David Carrico officiating. American Legion Post #15 of Pakersburg will provide full military rites at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Finch, W.Va., Ritchie County. The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
