Roma Margaret Nedeff 82, of Parkersburg, passed away November 5, 2014.She was born March 31, 1932and raised in Parkersburg, WV. A daughter of the late Michael and Romia Jarmoush Nedeff.She graduated from DeSales Heights Visitation Academy in 1950 and moved to Tokyo, Japan to live with her sister, Eva Tabe and her family. She attended Sophia University in Tokyo. This adventure was the beginning of a 36 year career with the U.S. Agency for International Development and the U.S. State Dept. with assignments that took her to five Continents. She was a foreign service officer. In 1989 following her retirement, she was a volunteer at the White House from 1989 until 2008, serving under Presidents, H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. Roma returned to her hometown of Parkersburg in 2008. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was a former Eucharistic Minister at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Washington, D.C.Roma is survived by her sisters, Teresa Nedeff of Parkersburg, W.Va., Dea Zugby (Robert) of Greenbelt, Md., Elizabeth O'Brien (Matthew) of Decatur, Ga.; brothers, Reverend Father George Nedeff, ofCorpus Christi, Texas and Michael Nedeff of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Nedeff, Eva Tabe and her brothers, James, Charles, David, Thomas, and Hichael Nedeff.A celebration of Roma's life will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg, with Reverend Father George Nedeff and Reverend Father John Rice, as co-celebrants. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman FuneralHome, 400 Green Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. where rosary services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 532 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV. 26101.
