Robert L. Taylor

Robert L. “Bob” Taylor, 76, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away September 10, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.He was born August 3, 1935 in Charleston, W.Va., a son of the late Henry Lewis and Nola Mae Matheson Taylor.Bob retired in 1998 from Moore's Building Supply in Contractor Sales. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Rosemar United Methodist Church. Surviving is his loving wife of fifty-four years, Doris M. Scritchfield Taylor; one daughter, Jennifer M. Elliott (David) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son, Robert L. “Rob” Taylor Jr. of Davisville, W.Va.; three sisters, Margaret F. Wilson of Parkersburg, W.Va., Patricia A. Taylor of Vienna, W.Va., and Barbara S. Coleman of Texas; five grandchildren, Courtney L. Winland, Ashley N. Taylor, Allison N. Maddox (Zach), Kaitlyn M. Taylor, and Dylan R. Taylor; eight great-grandchildren, Zachary, Isaac, Kylar, Vincent, Noah, Isabella, Sammy, and Hannah; and his pet yorkie dogs, Harriete and Tillie. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Taylor; and one sister, Dolores M. Taylor. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at Sunset Memory Gardens with Reverend Danny McVay officiating.
