The link is under his picture.Robert M. “Bob” Riser, 69, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013, after a courageous battle with an extended illness.Bob was born July 7, 1943, in Shultz, W.Va., the son of Freda Riser and the late Marl Riser.Bob was a graduate of Williamstown High School. He retired from the Simmons & Simmons Insurance Co. as manager after a distinguished 45 year career in the insurance business. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife and best friend, Wanda Riser; son, Robert B. Riser (Jeni) of Charleston, W.Va.; daughter, Andrea Barcaskey (Ben) of Sewickley, Pa.; beloved granddaughters, Abigail Riser and Zoe Barcaskey; sisters, Ida (Bill) and Connie (Everett); brother, Joe (Anna); sisters-in-law, Judy and Reva; and numerous nieces and nephews including Brad (Miranda) of Hana, Hawaii, Kenny (Treva), Jeremy (Mindi), Andrea, Ashley, Tyler, Shelby and Autumn, who also held a very special place in his heart.Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Jim.The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kelly Cawley and to the caring owners and staff at Ohio Valley Health Care.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Bud Corbin officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown.Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
