R. Ray Presley, 84, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on June 28, 2012 at his residence.He was born December 30, 1927, in Rogersville, Tenn., a son of the late Robert J. Presley and Faye Rhea Presley Jones. Ray was a truck driver, retired from Teamsters Local 175 and drove for Smith Transfer, Yellow Freight, Park Tours and Pifer's Service Center as a wrecker driver.He was a member of the Church of Christ, and served as the volunteer bus driver for Ohio Valley University for 42 years.He is survived byhis loving wife of 61 years, Colleen McIntosh Presley; two daughters, Jennifer (Ron) Presley-Ice of Vienna, W.Va. and Beth (Tim) Ferguson of Washington, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Sarah, Timmy, and Annie Ferguson; one sister, Ada Scott of Mineral Wells, W.Va.; one brother, James (Cheri) Presley of Ohio; and leaves behind several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Hesson and Shirley Justice.Funeral services will be cond2333 ucted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Dr. Steve Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery; there will be no graveside services. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Monday.Donations may be made to Ohio Valley University, Parkersburg Humane Society or the charity of choice.
