Robert Offenberger

March 1, 1960 — March 17, 2024

Robert Offenberger, 64, of Coolville, OH was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 5:18am after a long and brave battle with cancer. He was born March 1, 1960 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Anthony and Helen Offenberger.
He was employed at O’ Ames for 28+ years where he retired as a maintenance supervisor. He spoke so highly of the friends he made and always had good prank stories they did to one another. Robert loved restoring cars, hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling, the mountains, and everything outdoors. Family time was important to him along with his old mopars and in recent years, he restored a ’69 Dodge Dart rebuilding it from the bottom up. He was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. Robert enjoyed playing guitar with his boys.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 22 years, Debie (Eakle) Brethauer; Proud father of sons, Michael Offenberger (Lizzy) and Aaron Offenberger; their mother and Robert’s first wife, Debbie Smith Burns; He was also the proud step-father to son, Tony Riddle (Madi); daughter, Jesse Richards (Cory); father-in-law, Bill Eakle; proud grandfather to his 7 grandchildren, Riley (16), Chloe (15), Michael (13), Caitlynn (12), Cameron (9), Callie (9), and Willow (2); sister, Kathy White; brothers, Roger Offenberger (Colleen); Tobe (Margie), Phil (Phyllis), George (Jean), and Tip (Jeannie) Offenberger as well as their families; nephews, Travis and Danny (Jenny) Offenberger; nieces, LeAnn Welch and Julie Hathaway. He was also blessed with great-niece, Virginia (Zack); great-great niece, Ember; and many more loved family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Karen Hathaway.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
