Robert C. Moore, 85 passed away at the Camden-Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus, February 26, 2012, one month shy of Bettie and his 45th anniversary. Bob was born July 15, 1926 in McFarlan, W.Va., in Ritchie County, a son of the late Charles “Pete” and Winifrede (Frazier) Moore. He attended Cairo High School with the class of 1943. Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946 during WWII, serving in the Philippines Islands and one year in Japan after the H-Bomb with the 800th Military Police. He re-entered the service during the Korean War 1950-1953. Bob had worked at prior employments including Keith Bros. Garage, Harrisville, W.Va. and Johns Manville Plant before retiring from Borg-Warner in 1988 with 25 years of service. Bob was a 50 year member of the Cairo Masonic Lodge #114. For eight years Bob attended Grace Gospel Church in Pettyville, W.Va., where he was a member for over 36 years. He enjoyed working on cars, the bus tour trips, and spending time with his family.Surviving is his wife, Bettie (Isner) Moore; children, daughters, Jackie (Randy) Lynch, Shelley (Jack) Compton, and Roberta (Boyce) Nelson; son, Dennis (Bonnie) Moore; and step-son, Michael (Vicky) Isner; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Moore; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Patricia Thrash and Darlene Mullen.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen C. Moore in 2008; his first wife and the mother of his children, Madeline; and three brothers, Harold, John, and James.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Roger Benson and Pastor Mike Allen officiating. Entombment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
