Robert W. Mcconnell

Robert W. McConnell departed this life on March 16, 2021 at home. He was born February 14, 1934 in Pittsburgh Pa. to the late Elmer McConnell and Jessie Hazlett McConnell. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1954 on the USS Coral Sea. He is survived by wife, Jean McConnell; daughter Kathy (Ricky) Thompson of Vincent, Ohio; sons Kevin, Ronnie (Teresa), and Randy (Ellen) McConnell of Parkersburg, WV and Robert McConnell of Muscatine, Iowa and many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Klein; sons Keith and Kenneth McConnell and two Great Grandsons. He moved to Parkersburg WV in 1965 and worked construction work for various companies until he started his own business Bob’s Siding Service in 1972 until he retired. He was Commander of VFW Post 1212 from 1992-1993. Cremation arrangements was handled by Lambert Tatman Funeral Home. There will be no service or visitation. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St, south Parkersburg is honored to serve the McConnell family.
