Robert W. Longfellow Sr., 69, of Marietta, Ohio went home to be with the Lord at his residence, with his loving family by his side on Friday, May 13, 2011.He was born in Marietta, Ohio, a son of the late Herman T. and Estolene Harris Longfellow.Bob was a 1960 graduate of Williamstown High School and graduated in 1963 from the Nashville Auto-Diesel College. He was veteran of the U.S. Air Force and attended Souls Harbor Baptist Church. Bob was a thirty year employee of the former American Cyanamid Co. and retired in 2008 from Chevron-Phillips. He especially enjoyed NASCAR racing and any activity involving the outdoors.Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Mary Kay Brannon Longfellow; two daughters, Ginger S. Longfellow of Marietta, Ohio and Jessica D. Longfellow of Vienna, W.Va.; two sons, Robert W. Longfellow Jr. (Tammy) and Thomas E. Longfellow (Alicia), all of Marietta, Ohio; two sisters, Linda Parks of Hannibal, Ohio and Beth Greene of Whipple, Ohio; one brother, Richard Longfellow of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Michael Benson, Tiffany Jo Longfellow, Leanna Longfellow, Brayden Longfellow, Alex Longfellow and Colin Longfellow; several nieces and nephews including Patty, Debbie and Sharon; and Chris M. Miller who was like a son to Bob. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack E. and Daniel M. Longfellow.Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Avenue, Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating. Services will conclude with burial in the East Lawn Memorial Park, Marietta, Ohio with military graveside rites conducted by Marietta American Legion Post 64 and Marietta VFW Post 5108. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home .
