Date and Time of Service: Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 11:00 a.m.posted 10/6/2010 at 3:01:51 PMRobert Eugene Gallagher, 84 of Parkersburg, W.Va. went to be with the Lord Oct. 5, 2010 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.He was born Jan. 12, 1926 in Parkersburg, the son of the late Fred and Elsie Williams Gallagher. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and retired from St. Moritz Security after many years of service. He was an avid hunter and stock car fan.Robert is survived by his wife, Velma Wiley Gallagher; three step-daughters, Wanda McCune (Carl) of Somerset, Kentucky, Shirley Park (Jeff), and Michelle Andrews all of Parkersburg; one step-son, Kenneth Kasserman (Dawn) of West Blocton, Alabama; one sister, Mary Hamilton (Bernie) of Canton, Ohio; one uncle, Charles Williams (Betty) of Harrisville, W.Va.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by hunting buddies, Randy and Michael Balsley and Eugene Williams.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Pastor David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery with full military rites by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
