Robert H. Buck, 81 of Parkersburg passed away on November 6, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, St. Joseph's Campus.He was born July 23, 1932 in Salem, W.Va. a son of the late Harry D. and Vivian Maston Buck. He was raised and educated in Doddridge County, W.Va. and graduated from Doddridge County High School. He received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Glenville State College and was a U.S. Army veteran.He taught school in Elkton, Maryland for a year and at Neale Elementary School in Vienna, W.Va. for 36 years. He also worked part time for the Kroger Company. He was a 4-H leader for 46 years beginning his 4-H service with the Woodchuck 4-H Club. He served as a Camp Trustee for over two decades while serving as President of the Wood County 4-H Camp Trustee for over a decade. He served on the Fair Board for many years and was a WV 4-H All Star. In 2007 he received the Alumni Community Service Award of Glenville State College for his dedicated work for Wood County 4-H. Bob and Mary could always be found working at Butcher Bend 4-H Camp. He was also the Past Associate Guardian of Bethel 3 Job's Daughters. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Lou Buck of Parkersburg; daughter, Vickie Taylor (Derf) of Washington, W.Va.; and sons, Robert H. Buck II of Richwood, W.Va., and Paul Buck ofParkersburg, W.Va.; sister, Sandra Phillips (Gary) of Otwell, Indiana; and sister-in-law, Theresa Buck of Sun City, Florida. He is also survived by grandchildren, Chris Moles (Samantha) and their children, Davian, Caydan, Mayci, and Myleigh all of Parkersburg, Erik Moles of Washington, W.Va., Amanda Moles of Parkersburg, Timothy Moles (Alexandria) and their children, Mackenzie and Landyn of Parkersburg, and Nicole Harris and her daughter, Marley of Virginia Beach, VA; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Maurice Buck and Edwin Buck.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg with Rev. Kathi Ambler officiating. Burial will follow at the Masonic Memorial Park in West Union, W.Va.
