Richard "Dick" Wayne Vanfossen

Richard Wayne “Dick” Vanfossen, 76, of Petroleum, WV, passed away June 19, 2020 at the Pittsburgh VA Hospital. He was born June 24, 1943 in Parkersburg to the late Hoyt and Clara Metz Vanfossen. Dick worked at John Manville for 12 years then in construction until retirement. He served in the US Army and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by Marie Vanfossen, his caregiver; son, Mike (Cathy) Vanfossen; daughter, Anita (Trent) Fisher; several grandchildren; three brothers, Roy (Sabra) of Bradenton, FL, John (Ruth) of Petroleum and Randy (Joyce) of Parkersburg. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his brother, James and his sister Louetta Wilson. Per his wishes his body was donated to WVU at Morgantown, WV. Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg is honored to serve the Vanfossen family.
