Rena DiBetta Harper 90, of Vienna, W.Va., passed away April 25, 2013 at Worthington Nursing Facility.She was born September 16, 1922 in Boomer, W.Va., a daughter of the late Nick and Anna (Delprincipe) DiBetta who were Italian immigrants from Udine and Aquila, Italy. Rena was retired from the Internal Revenue Service of Parkersburg, W.Va. as a secretary for 38 years. She loved gardening, birds, her family and church. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Vienna, where she was a member of the choir and the ladies group.She is survived by two sons; Robert “Nick” Harper (Debbie) of Vienna, and John J. Harper (Terri), of Clarksburg, W.Va; two grandchildren, Jason Harper (Cam and daughter, Reeslyn) of Deep Creek, Maryland and Matthew Harper (Hildara) of Austin, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Mariana, Daniel, and Ana Sofia Harper of Austin, Texas.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Harper; her son, Andrew Harper; and her brothers and sisters, Virgil DiBetta, Patrick Harper (Lois), Geno Harper (Beulah), Katherine Davis (Ken), Alda and Assunta DiBetta, and Mary Bartoloni (Neal).Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the St. Michaels Catholic Church, 5501 4th Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Father John Gallager officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6: p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave.,Vienna, W.Va.The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Worthington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
