Ray Lewis, 83, of Parkersburg, WV passed away, Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at home. He was born November 24, 1937, a son of the late Leroy Lewis and Ada Lewis Vick. Ray was a graduate of Belpre High School and later worked for Corning Glass as a millwright, retiring after 40 years of service.He was a member of Pettyville United Methodist Church and enjoyed trout fishing with his friends in the West Virginia Mountains. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Hazel Primm Lewis; four children, Stephen (Karen) Lewis of Orville, OH, David Lewis of Parkersburg, Sherri (Johnny) Thomas of Parkersburg and Debra Lucas of Vienna; three granddaughters, Kelsey Lewis of Denver, CO, Paige (Kaleb) Ison of Portage Lakes, OH and Amanda (Derek Poling) Lucas of Pickerington, OH; two grandsons, Trey (Gary) Thomas of Myrtle Beach, SC and Thad (Heather) Thomas of Buffalo, NY; two great grandsons, Wyatt Thomas, of Fairbanks, AK and Calvin Poling of Pickerington, OH; one great granddaughter, Thea Thomas of Buffalo, NY;one sister-in-law, Rose Lewis of Mineral Wells; fur baby, Bugsy;many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Lewis. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM, Friday, December 4, 2020 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with Pastor Jamie Sprague officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Parkersburg. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Pettyville United Methodist Church, 6202 Pike St., Parkersburg, WV 26101.
