Ray Duane Garrison

Ray D. Garrison, 73, of Waverly, W.Va., passed away March 29, 2012 at his home.He was born May 9, 1938 in Waverly, W.Va., a son of the late Harry and Minnie Moore Garrison.Ray was employed with Fenton Art Glass and as an electrician with The Wood County Board of Education. He enjoyed auctions, dining out, and farming. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Cuban Conflict. Surviving is one son, Duane Garrison (Kristie); one step-daughter, Cheryl Kimes; one step-son, Eugene Kimes; one sister, Elsie Dornon; two brothers, Richard and Russ Garrison; special friend, Pearl Pittman; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Garrison; sister, Judy Jackson; and two brothers, Jack and Archie Garrison. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday April 2 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Randy Dornon officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 15 of Parkersburg. Interment will follow at the Corbin Cemetery.
