Phyllis Elaine “Shawna” Chandler, 75 of Parkersburg passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She was born July 14, 1936 in Leatherback Community, District of Lee, Calhoun County, W.Va. Phyllis was a daughter of the late Ezequel Dorman “Bub” and Elma Carpenter Mace. She owned and operated “Tinker and Tinks” in south Parkersburg. She worked for and was a member of the Legion of Guardsman. She was also a member of the Lady Elk Auxiliary of Marietta. She is survived by one daughter, Twila Bailey (Dave) of Parkersburg, W.Va.; one son, Steve Starcher (Lisa) of Leroy, W.Va.; one sister, Virginia Skinner of Toronto, Ohio; two brothers, Jack Mace of Riverview, FL, and Fred Mace of Spencer, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Blaine Britton. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Walter Minney officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
