Peter "Pete" Wagner

Peter “Pete” Wagner 85, of Belpre, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Worthington Manor Nursing Facility in Parkersburg, WV.He was born March 31, 1927 in Batavia, Ohio to the late Peter and Flora Allison Wagner. Pete served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a machinist with Hydraulic Press for 40 plus years. Pete was a member of the American Legion of Merango, Ohio and was a Protestant by faith. After his retirement he spent time fishing, reading, working puzzles and watching westerns.He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marianne Church Turrill Wagner; three step children; Kathy Bond Evans (Bill) of Baltic, Ohio, Joseph “Joe” Turrill (Patty) of Belpre, Ohio, Jeanne Kent (Keith) of Stockport, Ohio; sisters, Ester VanHorn of North Robinson, Ohio and Kathrine Furr of Gallion, Ohio; and several grandchildren.In addition to his parents Pete was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine; a son, Kenneth; and daughters, Jody and Donna.Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre, Ohio with the Rev. Roger Benson officiating. Interment will follow at the Rockland Cemetery in Belpre. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
